1. Overview

Apex Health ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and progressive web app (the "Service"), how we use it, and your choices.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and data generated through your use of the Service:

  • Account data: email address, password (stored securely by our auth provider), and profile details you enter during onboarding (such as age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goals, and dietary preferences)
  • Nutrition data: food logs, macro targets, meal plans, and related entries you create or we generate for you
  • Media and input: meal photos you upload, voice transcripts from voice logging, barcode scans, and text search queries for food items
  • Payment data: subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers. Payment card details are processed directly by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers
  • Usage and device data: app interactions, log dates, timezone, and standard technical data (such as browser type and IP address) needed to secure and operate the Service
  • Partner context: if you sign up through a partner-branded experience (for example, Alpha Pro Nutrition), we may associate your account with that organization for branding and reporting purposes

3. How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and personalize the Service
  • Generate macro targets, meal plans, and AI-assisted food estimates
  • Process subscriptions and send billing-related communications
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms
  • Improve reliability, fix bugs, and develop new features
  • Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI processing

To power photo, voice, text, and meal-plan features, we send relevant inputs (such as images, transcripts, and profile context) to AI providers. Outputs are stored in your account to display logs and plans. AI results are estimates and may contain errors.

5. Service providers

We use trusted third parties to operate the Service, including:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
  • OpenAI — AI analysis for logging and meal planning
  • Vercel — application hosting

These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations appropriate to their role.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and partner branding context (for example, remembering which organization referred you). You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may limit Service functionality.

7. Data retention

We retain account and nutrition data while your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or billing purposes.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections, access controls, and row-level security on user data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can update profile information in Settings. For other requests, contact us at the email below.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. International users

We operate from Canada. If you access the Service from other regions, your information may be processed in Canada or where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice.
